About
About ExamReady Prep — Editorial Standards
ExamReady Prep is a small team of writers, clinicians, and software engineers who build exam-prep sites. We don't administer exams. We don't run live cohort programs with instructors. We write questions, walkthroughs, and study guides that map to the certifying body's published blueprint.
What we publish
ExamReady Prep operates 5 exam prep sites — one per credential. Each site carries practice questions written to map one-to-one against the certifying body's published exam blueprint, plus skills walkthroughs for hands-on content (venipuncture for the phlebotomy credential, refrigerant-handling procedures for the EPA Section 608 credential, food-safety protocols for ServSafe, and so on), plus study guides organized by content domain. The content is structured so a candidate who can read the official exam outline can find every prep site that targets that outline.
How content is researched
Every question, walkthrough, and study guide on every ExamReady site is reviewed against a primary source before publication. For the medical-assisting and phlebotomy credentials that means referencing the NHA candidate handbook, the ASCP phlebotomy outline, and the CLSI venipuncture guidelines. For EPA Section 608 that means reading 40 CFR Part 82 Subpart F, the EPA Section 608 candidate bulletin, and the recovery and recycling equipment manufacturer manuals. For ServSafe that means the FDA Food Code (current edition), the NRA ServSafe Manager program materials, and the ANSI/NSF food-equipment standards that the exam tests.
When the certifying body publishes a new edition of its blueprint — NHA updated the CCMA outline in 2023, EPA updated its Section 608 recovery-efficiency tables in 2024 — we revise the affected questions and publish a revision note on the per-exam site's editorial standards page. We don't silently swap content.
Editorial review
Each per-exam prep site has at least one subject-matter reviewer on staff or under contract. The CCMA site is reviewed by an NHA-certified medical assistant. The phlebotomy site is reviewed by an ASCP-certified phlebotomy technician with a clinical-lab background. The EPA Section 608 site is reviewed by an EPA-608 Universal-certified HVAC technician. The ServSafe site is reviewed by a Certified Food Protection Manager. Reviewers sign off on every question batch before it ships; their names appear on the per-exam site's editorial standards page.
Independence and affiliations
ExamReady Prep is an independent prep publisher. We are not affiliated with NCSBN, NHA, ASCP, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, the National Restaurant Association, or any other certifying body. The credential names — CCMA, CNA, EPA 608, Phlebotomy, ServSafe — are trademarks of their respective owners. We use them to describe the credentials our prep sites target, not to imply endorsement. We do not administer any certification exam and we do not issue any credential card.
What we don't publish
We don't run live cohort programs with instructors. We don't administer practice exams that mimic the proctored environment under timed conditions. We don't sell physical study materials. We don't offer job placement services or guarantees. Everything on ExamReady Prep is asynchronous, self-paced, written-and-reviewed prep material.
Corrections and disputes
If you find an error in any of our content — a question with an incorrect answer key, a walkthrough that contradicts the current edition of the certifying body's blueprint, a stale citation — please email us at [email protected]. We acknowledge corrections within 5 business days and publish a correction note on the affected page. Editorial disputes (a reviewer who disagrees with a published answer) are tracked in a public log on the per-exam site's editorial standards page.
